Pitch Sports is the largest network of basketball players and academies in India. We are the leaders in transforming the grassroots basketball landscape since 2011. With a growing footprint in India, Pitch Sports currently conducts basketball coaching programmes for over 1000 children in 20 locations across Bangalore, Delhi and Hyderabad. We specialize in international-style basketball camps and academies. Comprising a team of certified and qualified coaches, Pitch Sports works with some of the most prestigious schools and institutions. Several children from Pitch Sports academies are selected to state and national teams every year.

Our Objective
We have a three-fold Objective:
- To build sports ecosystems from the ground up. We look to build a wide base of recreational players, from which the best are chosen to play competitive sport.
- To introduce the best international practices to our training sessions across India. This is achieved by employing international coaches to work with our team of coaches and develop them to execute international quality of coaching.
- To build a community of basketball players who have easy and regular access to high-quality coaching, leagues, camps and tournaments. Pitch opens doors to children who have the desire and ability to pursue their basketball dream and compete at the highest levels.

Curriculum
- Every single session is planned by international experts
- New and detailed plans are written every week for all ages and ability groups
- All plans are dynamic, bearing in mind the progress of each group
Culture
- Regular leagues and tournaments are conducted across academies
- Domestic and international tours are initiated during school vacations and long weekends
- Selection of high-performance players for the prestigious inter-club tournament conducted by the Karnataka State Basketball Association
Our Safety Regulations
- All our programmes are conducted in secured gated premises with an assigned security guard to maintain a register of visitors
- Our coaches leave the premises only after each child is picked up by their parent or guardian
- All our coaches are trained in first aid and medical kits are available at each center
- Every coach possesses the emergency contact number for each child in their respective academy
- Thorough background checks are conducted for each member of our team on a regular basis
- Medical conditions (if any) of each child are recorded and precautions taken accordingly
Founder of Pitch Basketball Academy
Chidanand Kumar
An expert in building community sports programmes, Chidanand is a founder of Pitch sports, which operates its sports academies across the country. Pitch sports has been conducting coaching programmes with a qualified team of coaches since 2011. Pitch sport works with schools, pre-schools, residential societies, clubs and sports goods stores across the country. The programme currently has over 1000 children enrolled in over 25 locations across Bangalore, Chennai, and Kochi.

Tours & Tournaments
The best players from the Pitch Basketball Academy are given the opportunity to represent the academy at international basketball tournaments and domestically, at State-Level club tournaments.
In August 2018, teams from the Pitch Basketball Academy participated in the U-11 and U-13 categories at the Da Nang International Basketball Tournament in Vietnam; winning the U-11 category with a perfect record of 5 wins from 5 matches and finishing 2nd in the U-13 category, winning 4 out of 5 matches.
The best players from the Pitch Basketball Academy are selected to play for our club team at a State-level competition, from which many players are chosen to represent the State Team at the Nationals. In 2018, Pitch Basketball Academy players represented the Young Orions Basketball Club.
